Day One Recap

The inaugural Mrs Hockey Invite kicked off yesterday at the Florida Hospital Ice Center just outside of Tampa, Florida. 12 teams traveled from across the world to square off at this state-of-the-art facility.  With 7 out of the top 10 U12 Tier One teams (according to My Hockey Rankings) in attendance the stage was set for some quality competition.

In the morning, the teams participated in on-ice testing focused on skating with and without the puck as well as performed some timed speed drills. Lead by Connor Lyons of the Sports Performance Center, the girls spend roughly 30 minutes on the ice. Results will be available by 3:00 PM on 1/20/19.
